Student finance

Student fianance services most likely to NOT get an award for good organisation. From this date they have only just started to look at information sent to them from July 14th, although i don't see how this is possible since some students have only apllied for their finances two months ago and have allready received their money. Other applicants like myself who had applied in January aren't likely to even get their finance by the end of the year .
Which means a whole term of debt has been added to my name aswell as many others. This means that personal funding is having to be made mainly by parents, who are having to egt themselves into personal debt. Other personal funding methods are, attempting to get a job which is impossible in this day and age especially in a university town.
Many students like myself are being pushed out of university due to lack of finanaces. The system is awful, it doens't seem fair that people who applied eight months ago for their finance won't be getting it until a whole year later and others get theirs within seven weeks.
I feel sorry for the advisors on the end of the phone who have to deal with countless crying and angry students 8 if more hours a day, lets hope their wage is half decent. The company cleary hasn't employed enough staff and i'm surprised the ones who are working their haven't left yet due to the countless amount of abuse they recieve every day. Calling them is also impossible, your lucky if you get to be put on hold otherwise as soon as you call you get a message then hung up on. Once you get put on hold after an hour ou also get cut off then you have to start all over again. The service needs some serious improvements made to it as it is having a huge effect of peoples future.
With a lack of jobs furthur education is vital to many young people, proving this year to have had over subscribe universitys all over the country, with many students with A grades being rejected from their conditional places.
My freshers year has been seriously affected by this and I certainly find it hard to enjoy myself due to stressing about this situation. Fresher year is supposidly one of the best years of your life, not for many people this year , as going out isn't even an option when you can barely buy bread and pay for your laundry.

Pregnant teens

I work at "ToysRus" in the baby department "BabiesRus" and I can't believe how many of my fellow secondary students are having babies, their first if not their second. It truely makes me wonder if the 'recession' has caused these girls to lead them to having unwanted pregnancies. If you fall pregnant at a young age there is so much if i might say too much help for these girls. The ones I have met brag about how much money they are being given from the government and about the council house they now live in. Which angers me being a student who is just about getting by. It also makes it impossible for working people to even get onto the council housing list which is why so many people are still living with their parents because they can't afford to buy or if they did they would struggle with a mortgage.

What are the causes of teenage pregnancy?
Have these teenagers become lazy? or do they really want children that young.. with no income alot of the time, unwilling partners and nothing much to fall back upon. In some cases and i will say rare cases these teens feel that they don't want to have a 'teen abortion', as they feel insecure about going to the clinics or they don't believe in it. But in a modern day society it is a very common procedure and I believe it does benefit both the mother and child in some scenarios. Although getting pregnant in this day and age is deemed as unacceptable due to the high amount of contraception and the high amount of sex education which is given in schools nowadays. Most towns have a facility to get free testing and contraception in all shape an forms. Going to these places are a hell of a lot less embarrassing than these teens think. According to some teens it is more embarrassing to go to a family planning clinic to get free contraception than it is to be pregnant? They change their tune as soon as they are far into their pregnancy and they have doctors prodding and glaring into their 'embarrassing area'.
The effects of teenage pregnancy.
A new lifestyle has been created and it seems quite disturbing.... it doesn't seem all that fair to the child or to other members of the society .. TAX payers who are paying for these young girls!
My generation have seemed to have just given up.... is this the cause of the recession? Or is this lifestyle appealing. For some young women it is especially if they live in a tough home where there is crime, drugs and abuse, getting pregnant is an escape to them. Sad as it is its true and I have witnessed a few cases of this.
The solution to this serious issue would be to give more available support to young women in this extreme situation.

Why young girls are getting pregnant and deciding to keep the babies needs to be investigated.
It's not that i'm completely against this but i'm concerned to why so many young women are doing so. What has happened to the budding career woman? The desire to have a glamorous job, to have money to buy desirable things. Being a young female who is more career based i can't comprehend why some girls decide to become teen mothers.

Metro newspaper:
Quote Gordon Brown:
"teens don't want babies"
'most teenage pregnancies are unwanted.'
he wants to prevent young parents from automatically getting a council house.

X FACTOR .. the twins!!

There were Chico, Same difference and for 2009 ... John and Edward!
Bootcamp nearly over they have allready created a stir with their pure aarogance. Every year Louis persists to have extreme corny talent out through, and every year deserving talent gets voted out due to these contestants, which creates a huge stir amongst most people..... Whos voting for them??? ... other than Louis Walsh! .... The second part of bootcamp reveals the boys singing over another contestant in their group , sadly this contestant then got kicked off the show due to the boys beahviour. But really the full blame cannot be put onto the boys as I hate to say it they competed well and their plan succeeded them a place onto the next stage of auditions. The full blame really goes onto the judges as it seemed that Louis was the only one who wanted them through, clearly not as it takes 3 votes out the 4 for someone to get through. I'll be putting on bets for them to stay... Don't we all just know that they will! I'm debating if their was only one of them would i maybe like the act more?? I can't decide... but the fact their are two sends chills down my spine... It can't be natural to have cheesy pop wannabes be that evil!
Click on the link above and watch the disburbance amongst the judges... to say the least its cringe worthy!!
